Welcome to Uption
Uption's mission is to improve the lives of others by encouraging them to read and discuss books on topics related to personal development. This encouragement is via the Uption community, one that you are now a part of. These Community Guidelines should not only help you understand how to act within the community but also help you understand what to expect from others in this space.
Personal attacks, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive or derogatory content, and harassment or threats against other participants of the discussion board, in the blog comments area or featured speakers on the site will not be tolerated. This includes libel or unsubstantiated accusations against another.
Take responsibility for the quality of the conversations you participate in. Ensure that you stay focused on your reading. Come prepared to discuss how you were impacted by the most recent reading you did and how you plan to implement something you learned.
You are here to be part of a community and to receive the support of the community. Give the support and encouragement you want to receive, and you will receive it in turn.
No advertisement, solicitation or promotion will be allowed. This is a community full of individuals pushing themselves forward in many areas, to include business. If members of a group ask a question or of an experience related to your business is appropriate, please feel free to share, but this is not a place to advertise.
Use appropriate language
Foul, obscene or sexually explicit language, and other content that a reasonable person would find objectionable will not be permitted.
Promoting, suggesting, or requesting participation in any sort of illegal nefarious activity is not OK here.
Moderation and reporting abuse
As these are live discussions, it is impossible for us to moderate them.
If you feel that a member of your group is violating these terms, please first attempt to address the issue within the group. If you feel uncomfortable doing so, or if you have already addressed the issue and it has not been resolved, please email us at email@example.com
As the Internet and our platform evolve, it may be necessary to change these guidelines. Uption reserves the right to changes these guidelines at any time in its sole discretion. The current guidelines will be available to you online.
